Covid-19 Update: RCTA resumes normal business hours

With the governor lifting the Stay Safer at home order today, and many businesses reopening in the coming days. RCTA will be resuming normal business hours effective Tuesday, June 2,2020. We are open Monday thru Friday 6am- 7pm and Saturdays 9am-4pm. For the continued safety of our employees and the public we serve, we are still highly recommending the use of face masks while on the bus. We will still be recommending seats with social distancing in mind. Fare collection went back into effect June 1st and will continue at the same rates prior to Covid 19. We highly recommend contact free payment methods such as our credit system, Hopthru app, and our new monthly unlimited pass. We thank the public for their patience and support over the last several months and ask that you continue to be patient in the coming days.

Covid-19 Update

With the Roscommon County area relaxing in some areas and more of our community commencing operations, RCTA will also be relaxing its" “essential travel only” and “once weekly shopping rides”. Effective May 22, 2020. RCTA will also be extending our hours with increased demand. We will be operating 8am to 6 pm Monday thru Friday until further notice. Masks will still be required and we have marked seats to keep social distancing in mind. Please bear with us as we move into yet again, new territory and adjust our service and guidelines as needed over the next few weeks and months.

Covid-19 Update from RCTA

As you all may be aware, the governor has extended the stay home order until May 15,2020. With that, some people previously restricted from working are being allowed to return to work as long as they practice social distancing and other safe practices. In addition, we are now required to wear a mask anytime we are in a public place. This includes buses. To be sure we comply with this order, our passengers are now required to wear a mask to utilize our service. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping us all safe.

Covid-19 update

As most of you are aware, the stay at home order has been extended through April 30, 2020. The restrictions have been tightened and while public transportation continues to operate. We want to remind riders that trips for groceries will be limited to once per week. The exception is if you are traveling for work or medical appointments. We continue to encourage all residents to utilize our free delivery and prescription service. These trips are not currently being limited at this time. We also want to remind people that if you or anyone in your household has any covid symptoms, we are unable to transport you. RCTA is not prepared for this kind of transportation. COVID-19 Crisis Response: RCTA to reduce hours of operation effective 03-26-2020

In response to COVID-19, in effort to reduce the spread , RCTA has decided to reduce the hours of operation to Monday thru Friday from 9am-4pm, we will be closed Saturdays until further notice. We are currently not accepting any fares at this time. We are only providing essential service and ask our passenger to keep their distance from drivers and other passengers. Do not ride the bus if you or anyone in your household is sick or showing any symptoms or if you have been quarantined. Riders will be limited to one rider per household during this time. We encourage our passengers to take advantage of our free delivery service utilizing participating stores provided in previous post.

RCTA update: Fare collection

In effort to reduce exposure to our employees and passengers, Effective Saturday March 21,2020, Roscommon County Transportation Authority will no longer be collecting fares until further notice. All rides being provided will be for an essential service only. People are asked to not ride if they or anyone in their household are feeling ill or have any symptoms. It is our mission to provide essential service to Roscommon County residents for as long as possible. Please utilize our free service to pick up your groceries and prescriptions and help limit exposure to the front line people still providing these vital services.
